A Golden-Hour Engagement Session at Eureka Springs Park

There is a particular kind of light at Eureka Springs Park just before the sun goes down — gold, low, and forgiving — and it is our favorite time to photograph the people who are about to build a life together.
Tucked away off US-301 in Tampa, Eureka Springs Conservation Park feels like a secret garden: mossy oaks, quiet water, and winding paths that catch the late-afternoon sun. It is one of our favorite Tampa Bay spots for an unhurried engagement session — and only about fifteen minutes from our home base in Plant City.
This session was all about that easy, in-between warmth: a couple who simply liked being near each other, and the kind of light that makes everything feel softer. We kept it unhurried — a little walking, a little laughing, and a lot of letting them be themselves while we worked around them.
Why we love engagement sessions
An engagement session is more than pretty photos. It is the first time many couples are ever photographed together intentionally, and it is how we get to know each other before the wedding day. By the time the big day arrives, the camera already feels like an old friend.
As a family-owned team of four sisters based in Plant City and serving all of Tampa Bay and Central Florida, we photograph the way we'd want our own family remembered — naturally, warmly, and without stiff posing. Whether you are searching for a Tampa engagement photographer or a Plant City engagement photographer close to home, our goal is the same: photographs that actually feel like you.
Planning a golden-hour session at Eureka Springs Park
A few things we have learned shooting golden hour here:
- Arrive about ninety minutes before sunset. The light gets richer as the hour goes on, and it gives us time to move through a few corners of the park without rushing.
- What to wear: soft, warm tones — creams, rust, sage, denim — photograph beautifully against the park's greens and golds. Skip bright neons and busy logos.
- Bring bug spray and comfortable shoes. It is a real nature park, and the prettiest light is often down a shaded trail.
- Check the park hours (currently 8 AM–6 PM) and the season's sunset time when you pick your date.
